Since joining CFNW almost 3 years ago I have transformed both in body and mind. I am in the best shape of my life – which is pretty amazing seeing as I’m 40 something. Through our community, I have learnt about the nutritional value of food and how it fuels my body to keep me strong and healthy. I exercise regularly every week and am proud of all the amazing things my body can do, not how it looks. I can climb ropes, do push ups while in a handstand, lift more than my body weight over my head, and swings on rings like a gymnast – things I never dreamed I’d ever be able to do. The programs Rob creates are always varied, challenging, fun and get results. Having a shared and always positive and encouraging experience with the amazing community at CFNW every session is what helps me to go back day after day. I no longer think “I’ll never be able to do that”, now it’s simply “with lots of practice I know I’ll get there.” And I do.
One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was joining CrossFit Norwest . After having my kids I was looking for consistency with my weight and training . 3 years later I can honestly say it had changed my life , It challenges me and makes me happy . There are still plenty of things I can’t do but the community and coaches inspire me to keep trying .
After 20 years of telling myself I wasn’t built to do strength based exercises I finally took the plunge and signed up with Rob, Jess and the team at CFNW. That was over 3 years ago, since then I have pushed myself beyond where I dared to dream and achieved goals I thought were impossible for me. The journey has not always been easy, but then again nothing worthwhile ever is, however after that first day of stepping foot into CFNW I knew I had found a community of like-minded people to train with in an environment that would push when I needed a push and support when I needed support. I now get to train with my whole family at CFNW and with every day that passes know that the choices I made at the start are now shaping the future.
