Beginner CrossFit Classes

CrossFit Norwest offers beginner CrossFit and weightlifting courses and classes, along with stretch classes and kids programs. Since our inception we have catered to all levels from grandparents to mums, from teens to kids and from athletes to formerly couch potatoes! We have taught individuals to respect their bodies and find their inner athlete, have sent athletes to the CrossFit Games in America and have taught people what it feels like to belong to a community.

 

Start off with our Beginner CrossFit course or Fundamentals.

CrossFit Events: Rock Climbing Next Week!

CrossFit Paleo Plans: Protein Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Serves: 16-18

Ingredients
  • ⅔ cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup smooth almond butter
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop (35 grams) Formulx Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Add all ingredients in bowl and mix well until combined.
  3. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to scoop out batter and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. The batter should make 16-18 cookies.
  4. Baking for 15-18 minutes until cooked through.

Try us out for free in a small group introductory session run by one of our qualified CrossFit trainers. By the end of the session you will have seen the gym, learnt the CrossFit philosophy and its application to performance, weight loss and more, learnt some CrossFit movements, performed a short "WOD" or high intensity workout and observed a normal class in action - No, we don't throw you in the deep end of a class in your very first session! Bookings essential.

CrossFit Olympic Lifting: Steve Norman National Champ

A big congratulations to one of our junior Norwest barbell members, Steve Norman who became national champion over the weekend at the Australian Weightlifting Federation Youth and Jnr National championships in Tasmania. Steve broke three NSW records and PB'd his competition weights with a 95kg snatch, 121kg clean and jerk and a 216kg total. Steve has been extremely committed to his training and nutrition over the last six months and this is a well deserved result.
