CrossFit Norwest Dural 15.1 AND 15.1a

GREAT work on Saturday with the completion of 15.1 and 15.1a – what an amazing atmosphere!! Very proud to be a member of CrossFit Norwest. Special thanks to all those who judged, helped set up and pack away.

 

Top scores so far: Emily with 179 reps on 15.1, and Adi with 85kg on 15.1a, Jamie with 185 reps on 15.1 and Matty with 136kg on 15.1a. We will be re-running the workouts at all of today’s classes, if you don't wish to do it again there will be a separate workout provided which you can complete out of the way.

 

Please submit your score straight away so it is done - if you perform the wod again today and get a better score then you can resubmit. I will validate all scores over the next few days. Scores MUST be submitted by 10am TOMORROW.

Open Workout 15.1 Housekeeping

Just a heads up about how Saturday's first open workout will run. We are unable to finalise exact details until the wod is released tomorrow however we will be kicking off at about 8.15am, so will need everyone there around 7.50am. We will run through the workouts, assign heats and judges. The amount of people in each heat and rough timings again will all depend on the workouts. Please remember there is no 7am mobility class.

Norwest Barbell: Weekend Records

We have just received the official placings from our lifters at the Odd Socks All Comers competition on the weekend. Special mention to Andy who broke the Odd Socks club records for the Snatch, Clean and Jerk and Total in the Under 77kg category, also Oliver who broke the Odd Socks club records for the 35-39 age group for the Snatch, Clean and Jerk and Total in the Under 69kg category. Results below:

Friday Timetable Trial

From this Friday 27th February for the next five weeks we will be trialling a new timetable of a Friday afternoon. There will be no classes instead Open gym supervised by Jamie from 4:30-7:30pm. During this time you can complete your own workouts, practice movements/strategy for the Open WOD or even perform the Open WOD if you cannot attend Saturday or Monday. Barbell HOWEVER will still be on but in a different format, we will be trialling Open lifting under the tuition of Andy from 5:30-7:30pm, there will be a program written on the board and you can follow it at your own pace. At the end of five weeks if this option is popular it will become permanent.

Olympic Weightlifting: Norwest Barbell Results

Congratulations to our lifters who represented CrossFit Norwest at the Odd Socks All Comers lifting competition yesterday. For Nath, Adam, Ryan, Carlene and Mel it was their first lifting comp and they did us proud. Andy, Oliver and Pete also represented us well, special mention to Andy hitting a 101kg snatch at 73.9kg BW, and Oliver PRing his C+J at 91kg in the Under 69kg class. Great work everyone!!

Float Tank Western Sydney
