Weightlifting Shoes for CrossFit

Posted on Wednesday, 19 October 2011 in General Crossfit

For the Advanced CrossFit program visit the RAW Strength and Conditioning website.

Once you've decided that CrossFit is your sport, you're ready to compete in a few games days, and are constantly striving to improve your lifts and performances, it would definitely be worthwhile at looking to invest in your own pair of Olympic lifting shoes. During the squat, the body recruits your glutes, hamstrings, lower back and abdomen to perform the movement.  A stable core is required to enable your lower body to create enough force to drive the barbell/weight up against gravity.

Due to the long weekend, the gym will be CLOSED Monday, normal class times will resume 6am Tuesday.

Don't believe everything you read... While the lack of scientific foundation for much of what is published in popular fitness magazines will come as no surprise to most of you, Joel Jamieson of 8 Weeks Out just posted an interview with Group Fitness Director for both Men’s Fitness and Muscle & Fitness magazines, Sean Hyson, this excerpt mostly speaks for itself... certainly a candid admission:
