Vitamin D is essential for the body to absorb calcium to ensure normal growth and repair of bones, however it also has tonnes of other great benefits; regulates the immune system, improves depression/moods, reduces the risk of cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular ailments. While we should be able to get enough Vitamin D from about 10-20 minutes in the sun a few times a week, many people are unable to do this and are deficient.
