Paddy Doyle holds the current world record for the most burpees in one hour , 1,840!!!!!
The Burpee in my opinion the Burpee is the king of conditioning exercises. There are a lot of “fitness gurus and arm chair trainers that like to give a better variation of an exercise like throwing in a pushup with a burpee or standing up and doing a pullup. Yeah, you can make almost any exercise harder by using a different variation I just think these guys like to show how smart they are.
If you want to test yourself try the burpee. It’s harder then running or squatting, just think of the records for other exercises in 1 hour, squat thrusts over 3,000 bodyweight squats almost 5,000, pushups over 3,000, alternating squat thrusts almost 3,000 and the Burpee only 1,840.
Not even 2000, This has been known as the toughest of circuit disciplines, and in my opinion it is.
The Burpee will test you in a big way, the fat will drip off your body, The Burpee will excelerate your metabolism. And you will burn crazy calories. Don’t believe me do Burpees for 1 minute rest 1 minute and go again. Just try 2 minutes and tell how you feel.
There’s a saying squats are the total body builder and dips are to the upper body is what squats are to the lower body, if that’s the case the Burpee is the king of conditioning exercises.
If I could only do one exercise it would be the burpee, it works a ton of muscles burns fat and will whip you into shape in record time.
Some guys will tell you they can do 50 pushups or 50 bodyweight squats but ask them to do 50 burpees and it won’t happen.
Using your bodyweight uses so many different muscles at one time that you will build great musclar endurance, and that’s the type of strength you need for athletics, MMA, martial arts, wrestling, boxing and everyday life.
Strength without conditioning is useless. But it’s tough to be conditioned and not get strong.
Try them.
Toughness Builds Winners.
