STEPS TO BECOMING A CROSSFIT NORWEST ATHLETE

1. Get in contact: Call 0415 126 542 or Email us jess@crossfitnorwest.com, ask any questions you might have.

2. You will be sent an email with a link to the waiver and an attachment with debit form for $10 trial session.

* This trial session (for you/depending on the day you start) will be a random CrossFit session. You may or may not be able to perform some exercises. PLEASE do not be discouraged. By the same token PLEASE do not think "Gee that was easy" For this trial session a trainer will pay you a little more attention, make sure you can do things safely and scale exercises you may not be able to do YET :) By the same token, no matter how fit you are (or perceive yourself to be) you will be held back a little on your first session as technique and safety is foremost when we are getting to know you.

3. Via phone/email organise a time to participate in a trial  session ($10) or just chat to a trainer over the phone

4......... Decision time-Firstly you have to decide if you like our trainers, our athletes, our training facility and the culture in our gym. You are under no pressure to start CrossFit. It is for some and not for others, however you will be in the best shape of your life if you stick to it. If it was easy everyone would do it. If you do not like the CrossFit Norwest for any reason I hope you can use the little bit of information you learned from the trial to better your training else where. If you DID like our training "WE" have 2 options............ based on your confidence, ability level, what our trainers recommend and what you agree to do.

OPTION 1- Begin CrossFit........... jump into the sessions as soon as you have completed the required paper work. It is our job and YOURS to ensure a gradual progression in skills and intensity. You are encouraged to come early and leave later after the classes to practise/ ask questions/ watch and learn the skills you may need work doing.

 

OPTION 2- Fundamentals .................... participate in one on one or small group training to teach you the fundamental movements of CrossFit. This is a gradual progression of skills and intensity to ensure you are further prepared to participate SAFELY in the class environment. There is no set number of PT sessions but you and the trainer will know when you are ready. It is a team decision.  (The cost of the fundamentals PT sessions are $66 each)

SO WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

“CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program built on constantly varied,  randomised, functional movements executed at high intensity.”  - Founder Greg Glassman.

Put simply, CrossFit is a training system that prepares you for whatever life can throw at you.  Workouts are short & intense, and incorporate elements of gymnastics, Olympic weightlifting, rowing, track, bodyweight calisthenics and circuit training.

Crossfit believes that the training needs of Olympic athletes and weekend warriors differ by degree not kind. Therefore, we scale load and intensity, we don’t change programs. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience, skill or fitness level.  The program works for elite athletes, professional fighters, recreational sportspeople and housewives!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

First of all … there are NO CONTRACTS, if you ever decide to stop training at Norwest simply contact your bank, you are not locked in for life!  Unlike the big franchise gyms, when you train with us you will not need to have an interview with a “membership consultant”, nor will you have to signup for any contract term.

WHAT YOU GET

In each session you attend you will be warmed up, shown the exercises in the workout (and appropriate scaling), timed/encouraged/motivated and cooled down at the end. Essentially a full personal training session in a group environment.

Monthly Fee - UNLIMITED SESSIONS: $220 (+$22 gst) = $242

Casual fee $33

On Ramp Elements Program: $66 per session

PT Sessions (specific goal orientated) : $88 an hour (unless negotiated prior)

We accept payment via DIRECT DEBIT  (NO CONTRACT)
